Community Growth Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Omega Law Group
Recognizing the financial challenges that students face in their pursuit of higher education, Omega Law Group, along with its scholarship selection committee, is excited to introduce the Community Growth Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to support a student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to their community.
Students are invited to share their experiences of community involvement either through a video or a written essay. The firm encourages students to reflect on the communities that have significantly influenced their lives and how they have contributed to these communities in return.
The deadline for submission of all necessary materials to be considered for this $2,500 scholarship is June 15, 2026. The scholarship amount will be applied towards the student’s tuition for the spring semester.

Students are advised to review their applications thoroughly to ensure all necessary materials are included. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the scholarship selection committee.
Essay Guidelines
Students are encouraged to write a traditional essay or create a video essay on the following topic:
- What does your community mean to you? Discuss your commitment to both your school and any communities that have influenced your day-to-day life.
Written essays should be less than 1,000 words. Students are encouraged to reflect on the challenges they have faced and how their communities have supported them. They can cite specific instances where their communities played a crucial role in their success.
The essay must include a header with the student’s full name, date of application, school’s name, financial aid office contact information, and student ID number. Completed essays should be uploaded in PDF format on Omega Law Group’s website.
Omega Law Group does not favor one format over the other. Both written and video essays will be given equal consideration.
Video Submission Guidelines
Students opting for video essays should answer the given question in a video of one to two minutes. While careful scripting and editing are encouraged, the scholarship will not be awarded based on editing skills.
Students are also advised to credit any B-roll materials, editing software, and interviewees included in their videos.
To be eligible, students must:
- Record their videos in well-lit areas with a steady recording device
- Mention their full name and the name of the scholarship at the beginning or end of the video and give necessary credits
- Specify the sources of information and the media editing tools used in the video description
- Use only copyright-free content and create a creative, catchy title that reflects their ideas
Once the video essays are completed, students should upload them as unlisted videos on YouTube and share the link with Omega Law Group.
