Overview
The Louise Lightner Jamison Scholarship Fund supports Prince William County high school seniors planning to pursue an undergraduate degree in education. Preference is given to applicants who live in the Haymarket and Gainesville areas. The fund honors Louise Lightner Jamison—sister of Helen Ray—who devoted 42 years to educating young children in the Haymarket community. Recipients are chosen with attention to academic performance as well as involvement in community and extracurricular activities.
Award Amount
- Up to two scholarships will be awarded, each worth as much as $2,000.
Eligibility and Preferred Focus
- Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Prince William County (preference for those from Haymarket and Gainesville).
