Western Wake Alumnae Chapter Scholarships

Scholarship Sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority

Introduction
The Western Wake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is accepting applications for WWA Scholarships. Applicants must be high school seniors who live in Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, or Morrisville (Wake County) and who plan to be enrolled full time for the 2026–2027 academic year at an accredited college, university, community college, or vocational school. Complete applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026.

Eligibility
- Current high school senior.
- Residence in one of the following Wake County towns: Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, or Morrisville, NC.
- Intend to enroll full time for the 2026–2027 school year at an accredited postsecondary institution.
- Provide at least 25 hours of documented community service (include appropriate contact information for verification).

Required Materials (submit online)
- 2026–2027 college acceptance letter (upload or email).
- High school transcript showing applicant name, coursework/classes, and date (upload or email).
- One letter of recommendation submitted by the deadline by one of these methods:

- Short essay (300–500 words). Choose one prompt:
1. Describe your college goals and chosen major, how you plan to use your education, and why this scholarship matters to you. Include any academic and extracurricular achievements, personal qualities, or experiences that distinguish you as a scholarship candidate.
2. Describe an accomplishment, event, or insight that initiated a time of personal growth and led to a new understanding of yourself or others.
