Overview
Ohio Corn & Wheat dedicates $15,000 each year to support the next generation of professionals who will shape the corn and small grain industries. The scholarship program is open to students attending trade schools, colleges, and universities who are pursuing certificates or degrees in fields that contribute to the future of corn and wheat production and its supporting sectors. Areas of study may include agriculture, business, communication, economics, education, policy, science, technology, and related disciplines.
Eligibility
- Membership: Applicants must be a member of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. If you are not already a member, you may join when you submit your scholarship application.
- Enrollment: Candidates must be enrolled as students at a college, university, or technical school for the 2025–2026 school year (beginning fall 2025).
- Approved fields of study: Qualifying programs include, but are not limited to, agriculture, business, communication, economics, education, policy, science, and technology. Examples of eligible technical or certificate programs are Welding, Agricultural Equipment Technician, and Commercial Driver’s License (Class A).
- Career interest: Applicants must demonstrate an intention to pursue a career connected to the corn and wheat industries and/or agriculture in general.
- Residency: Proof of legal residency in the state of Ohio is required.
- Use of funds: Scholarship proceeds must be applied to tuition, mandatory fees, and books.
- Payment and frequency: Awards will be disbursed directly to the student and each applicant may receive the scholarship only once.
