Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Kisling, Nestico & Redick, LLC
Overview The Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship will grant a $5,000 award to a creative student who produces a fresh, compelling KNR billboard concept for an anti-distracted-driving campaign. Who may apply To qualify for the Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship applicants must: - Be residents of Ohio. - Be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college, university, or graduate program. - Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. - Demonstrate strong character and initiative. Required materials Submit all of the following to be considered: - A completed scholarship application form. - A billboard ad design aimed at preventing distracted driving plus a short written description of the idea. - A current transcript (high school, undergraduate, or graduate — unofficial copies are acceptable). - One letter of recommendation from a teacher or faculty member. Important deadline All application materials must be received by March 31, 2026. Design specifications - Orientation: horizontal format only. - Originality: designs must be the entrant’s own original work. - File formats and settings: provide files as PDF, TIFF, or EPS in CMYK at 300 dpi. - Logos: include either the KNR Bullet or KNR Stacked logo. Logos may be used only in their original colors or in black and white. Do not distort, crop, recolor, or otherwise alter logos except for proportional scaling. Campaign focus Distracted driving causes thousands of fatal collisions annually, and driver distraction accounts for more than 58% of teen crashes. Your billboard should call attention to this problem and illustrate how drivers can avoid distractions. Creativity is encouraged, but submissions must be suitable and practical for billboard placement in Ohio. Permissions and review By entering, you grant KNR permission to use your submitted ad for promotional purposes on KNR’s website and social media. KNR may edit submissions for length or minor content reasons but will not change the core message. A review panel will judge entries and choose the winner based on originality, creativity, and how effectively the design communicates the anti-distracted-driving message. Submission of supplemental materials If you have additional supporting materials, send them to scholarship@knrlegal.com. Award distribution and usage The $5,000 scholarship must be applied toward tuition and eligible educational expenses. Payment will be made by check payable directly to the recipient’s educational institution. Recipients may be required to provide receipts to ensure compliance with IRS requirements.
