CCTA Scholarships

At CCTA, we believe in the power of education. We recognize that the future of agriculture lies not only in our hands but also in the hands of our young farmers and industry professionals. It is with immense pleasure that CCTA offers scholarships to deserving high school and college students. These scholarships are funded through donations and proceeds from our annual conference.
Applications for scholarships for the Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 semesters must be submitted by Dec. 1, 2025. All applications and necessary attachments should be sent to Joni Mitchek at coordinator@highplainsnotill.com or posted to CCTA at 23929 County Road 16, Kit Carson, CO 80825.
2025 CCTA Scholarship Recipient Announcement
KIT CARSON, Colo. Jan. 15, 2025. The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association is delighted to announce that the 2025 CCTA Scholarship of $1,000 has been awarded to Garrett Scholz from Loomis, Nebraska.
Garrett, a current student at Bertrand High School, is an active participant in 4-H and FFA, as well as various cattle breed associations. His early interest in agriculture was sparked by the opportunities he had to show cattle and lambs. Since then, he has garnered numerous accolades and awards in showmanship, FFA extemporaneous speaking, community service, and school-related activities.
Garrett plans to pursue a degree in agribusiness at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall of 2025. His ultimate aspiration is to find a career that he enjoys and suits his strengths. Garrett also aims to use his life and career to honor God and contribute to his community.
The Colorado Conservation Tillage Association is proud to support Garrett in his academic journey. He will receive a $1,000 scholarship from CCTA and will be honored at the 37th Annual High Plains No-Till Conference in Burlington, Colorado, on Feb. 5, 2025.
Applications for the 2026 CCTA Scholarship will be open until Dec. 1, 2025.
